Javaid Karim

Javaid is the co-founder, advisor and chief technology officer to Nester, as well as multiple other tech platforms.

He is a technology expert with decades of experience, having held senior roles at Investment Banks, Asset Management Companies and Hedge Funds. These have included BNP Paribas, Fidelity Investments, Barclays Global Investors, Natwest Global Financial Markets, Daiwa Securities, GAM, Insight Investments.

In his tenure he has been influential in the introduction of many new technologies and implementing complex systems which have been highly scalable, resilient and robust.

Although the financial sector has been the focus for 30 years, Javaid has worked in many other industry sectors including Defence, Media, Retail, Telecoms, Automotive and Energy. He has a great passion to work with startups taking a raw concept and delivering a fully functional and scalable solution. Developing bespoke software and where required integrating with third party software. Ensuring success in a timely and cost effective manner.

Over the decades Javaid has continued to evolve with the latest technologies and pride himself in immersing with latest tech and ensuring that systems are developed using the best of breed. This means that he is extremely comfortable developing within mobile, web or desktop, all within a cloud based infrastructure.
